Hunger Pangs

Part of the story about the boy in post-war Sierra Leone. This image fits in the story between the image of the 3 kids eating breakfast and the one of the boy in the tree. In this illustration, the boy is sitting in school, having only eaten a small crumb of bread all day, and is eyeing the ripe mangos growing on the tree outside the window. He remembers the times during the war where there was no food and he would go out to the dump with his brother and sister to scavenge for any morsel.
